THE POSITION

The Brattle Group is seeking a motivated and flexible individual for a full-time Facilities Team Lead in our Boston, MA office. This position reports to the Business Support Services (BSS) Manager and is responsible for the daily execution of facilities needs in the Boston office, including event and hospitality management and supervision of junior-level facilities staff.

The core duties of this position include:

  • Ensure that all Boston office facilities, operations, and systems run smoothly and recommend improvements to Manager;
  • Liaise on behalf of the firm with building management and security to resolve facilities issues in a timely manner and alert the firm to building events (construction, power outages, etc.);
  • Supervise, train, and oversee development of local Facilities Coordinators ensuring high level of collaboration, motivation, and performance within and outside of the immediate team;
  • Ensure that new employees are set up with workspace, furniture, file space, etc. and maintain office seating and contact information;
  • Maintain supplies and furniture inventory and coordinate orders, repairs, and deliveries, ensuring firm’s green standards are met when applicable;
  • Provide comprehensive meeting and event support to include room set-up, AV, catering orders, supplies, and clean up for internal or client-focused events including weekly office events, holiday and summer parties, and firm-wide orientation events;
  • Coordinate and monitor office safety and security, adhering to ADA/Federal/OSHA standards and provide training on safety protocols to staff; and
  • Perform periodic review of vendor contracts and oversee corporate accounts to ensure adequate service levels are met and to manage costs.

THE CANDIDATE

This position requires strong organizational, collaboration, and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous responsibilities and deliverables.  The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities and conferencing, administrative, and/or business operations, including at least one (1) year of supervisory or management experience;
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Experience with space planning software is a plus;
  • Must demonstrate technical proficiency using computers, telephones, printers, copiers, scanners, and basic office equipment;
  • Must have demonstrated customer service skills;
  • Strong ability to take initiative and ownership of projects;
  • Must be self-motivated, work independently, and keep in constant communication with team members and manager;
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises appropriate judgment;
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced office environment handling multiple tasks and demands concurrently;
  • Evening and weekend work may be required.
