Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications

Location: Multiple Offices


The Brattle Group is seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications in our Boston, DC, or New York office.  This position works closely with the firm’s leadership to formulate and execute all marketing, communications, and events programs for the firm, its practices, and individual consultants. This position is a highly visible role and also oversees and develops a marketing team with four direct reports.


Some of the major responsibilities of this role include:

  • Work with firm management to create marketing goals and strategies to promote offices, practices, services, and personnel, and evaluate efficacy of these strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with consulting leaders to pursue new markets and service areas
  • Drive firm-wide branding initiatives and collateral development from conception to implementation with a focus on introducing innovative methods/tools, while ensuring cohesiveness across all lines of business
  • Oversee all media relations for the firm and its principals, and generate a strategy for proactive media outreach and relationship building with members of the press
  • Develop and implement internal marketing guidelines and initiatives for the firm that foster collaboration and information sharing
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to oversee the execution of all firm meetings and events, both internal and external, including, but not limited to, client events, holiday parties, firm orientation, and networking events
  • Foster relationships with key vendors, including, but not limited to, Brattle’s graphic design firm, web development firm, and webinar platform, and identify potential new service providers to maximize team efficiency
  • Manage and develop members of the marketing team, ensuring that marketing across the firm is collaborative, seamless, and measurable, and that team members are growing within their roles and skill sets



This position requires excellent research, writing, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment.  Additional requirements include:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ marketing/communications experience, preferably within a professional services firm focused on the legal industry; Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to manage people and projects;
  • Ability to project personal credibility, professionalism, and a high degree of integrity among firm leadership and clients
  • Advanced knowledge of CRM systems, preferably LexisNexis’ InterAction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strategic thinker not afraid of hands-on work
  • Pride in working within a high-quality, high-integrity organization;
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and project management skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Exercises appropriate judgment, discretion, and confidentiality;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team as needed;
  • Learns quickly and adapts to a growing and changing environment;
  • Occasional night and week-end work and travel is required.
