An advocacy organization is looking to engage an experienced photo production specialist in a week-long temporary assignment during March 2019. Work dates will be Wednesday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 27. There may be two or three longer than average work days in the middle of this assignment. 
 
The Photo Production Specialist will be responsible for downloading, importing and organizing all images that are captured during a three-day live event that will take place at the Washington, DC Convention Center between March 23 and March 26. The event is a conference that is held in Washington, DC annually, and which typically draws more than fifteen-thousand participants from all 50 states and all over the world. Past guests and speakers include political influentials, community leaders, elected officials, foreign dignitaries, and heads of state.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position is 100% dedicated to digital photo retouching, color correction, and compositing.
Ingest photos from multiple photographers.
Crop and resize photos for final delivery.
Work with a high level of attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently in a collaborative setting.
Must be able to receive direction well and be open to constructive criticism.
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years photo retouching experience in an advertising or marketing environment.
2+ years Adobe Photoshop.
2+ years Adobe Lightroom.
2+ years digital photography.
Broad availability during the week of the assignment. 
Highly organized. 
Excellent work ethic.
Better-than-average interpersonal communications skills. 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
 
HOURS / LOCATION:
We are seeking well qualified  individuals who are interested in the following work situation:  
(1) a full-time, on-site temporary assignment; 
(2) easily accessible via public transportation;
(3) in Washington, DC; 
(4) for one week in March 2019. 
 
OTHER DETAILS: 
Attire will be business causal. The person who is chosen for this role should expect to stay overnight at a hotel in Washington, DC between Saturday night, March 23 and Tuesday morning, March 26 (so, for three nights). Our client will provide hotel accommodations and meals. 
 
RATE: 
Per Brainstorm Creative Resources' guidance, the employer has agreed to a pay rate range of $35 - $50/hour. Applicants can expect to bill for a total of approximately 40 hours of work. The actual rate offered will be commensurate with experience and market norms. Brainstorm Creative Resources encourages it's client employers to pay competitively. Experienced professionals whose resumes indicate substantial, highly relevant experience can expect that we will make a strong case to our client, to pay you at or near the top of the range. It is unlikely (but not impossible) that we will be able to support earlier career applicants requests for salaries near the top of the salary range.
