Training & Development Consultant

Location: Multiple Offices



The Brattle Group is seeking a flexible and motivated individual with excellent customer service, time management and communication skills for a full-time Training & Development Consultant position in either our Boston, MA; Washington, D.C.; or San Francisco office.

This position will work closely with the HR, Training & Development team, and key stakeholders including program sponsors to assess, plan, design, execute, and facilitate learning and development initiatives and programs.  This position reports to the Senior Manager of Training & Development. 

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

  • Explores, proposes options and designs content for delivering learning inside and outside of the classroom training;
  • Facilitates both professional development and management development programs to enhance the skill sets of our employees;
  • Enhances current and continuously develops and designs innovative trainings for all employees;
  • Takes ownership of assigned existing training programs, and explores options to expand/enhance the Brattle training catalog with new programs or reevaluating current programs (both with guidance from Sr. Manager of Training & Development);
  • Support the rollout of programs such as Brattle 101 (annual firm wide orientation) and New Consultant Training;
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to design and support delivery of job specific or technical training;
  • Conducts evaluation process to ensure effectiveness of programs;
  • Supports the implementation/usage of new Learning Management System;
  • Works with the Sr. Manager of Training and Development to deliver mentor program training and resources to the organization as needed


Ideal candidates will possess and have a desire to develop:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in training and development; with experience working in a professional services or other related environment is highly desired;
  • Demonstrated experience completing needs assessments and advanced instructional design with on-line/authoring tool experience preferred; 
  • Proven success in facilitation of content to a variety of audiences; Ability to deliver clear, concise, and effective messages orally and in writing and has a history of using the right tone, channel, and manner for all communications;
  • Solid project management skills including a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in an ever-changing environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on design and development efforts within a team environment, independently and with key stakeholders;
  • Curiosity and aptitude to learn and implement alternative learning methodologies and platforms;
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is expected; experience working in authoring tools and HRIS systems preferred;
  • Availability for occasional travel is required and ability to work nights and weekends, as necessary.
