Project Accounting Adminstrator

Location: Boston, MA



The Brattle Group is seeking a full-time Project Accounting Administrator to join the firm’s corporate accounting team in the Boston, MA office. The Project Accounting Administrator is responsible for the accurate set up and ongoing maintenance of projects across various systems in accordance with contract and business terms.  The position works closely with Billing Analysts, Legal, and Project Managers at all levels of the organization.  Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the legal and billing departments
  • Review contracts and set up projects in Microsoft Dynamics SL in accordance with requirements for invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Ensure all project information is accurate and consistent across all Brattle applications; provide information and be a resource for legal and consulting staff as questions arise on project and bill rate setups and changes
  • Raise, investigate and resolve inconsistencies between contract terms and internal Project Setup Forms in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Conduct routine reviews of project setups to ensure information is up to date
  • Review, maintain and update employee standard bill rates for multiple currencies and project-level exceptions
  • Maintain all project and task-related information in SL
  • Assist with annual project bill rate changes
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests to update project setup, budgets and rates
  • Assist with the development of automated solutions and creation of dynamic forms to capture and track project data



  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in accounting or business
  • 1-2 years of accounting or business experience
  • Experience and proficiency in using structured accounting systems
  • Proficiency with MS Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills is required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, and to work as part of a team as needed
  • Comfortable interacting with senior level personnel
  • Positive customer service attitude
  • Evening and/or weekend work may be required
