The role

You will have overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure for the systems involved in the manufacturing and supply workstreams. These include but are not limited to, manufacturing execution, demand planning and scheduling. This role will manage strategic system investment project/s within the capital portfolio, with investment costs of between £1m - £3m.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the programme team in determining the various business requirements, translating these into business processes, working with key stakeholders and specialists to ensure that the process match the strategic aim of the business.
  • Run and lead workshops to determine the best course of action, ensuring that all stakeholders have been consulted.
  • Creation a high-level solution design for the end to end supply chain
  • Translation of the design into a series of technical documents, that allow the chosen tool to be developed in-line with the agreed process’s.
  • Design of the manufacturing execution solution within the ERP and MES systems, through high to low levels, describing in the appropriate detail
  • Control and manage the delivery of the project to meet the agreed business needs and target outcomes
  • Acquire, organise and utilise the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost timescales and quality
  • Monitor, review and report on all project attributes including safety, budget, cost, resource and risk, ensuring that there are adequate processes and controls in place
  • Proactively ensure there are timely and appropriate solutions developed to fulfil the business requirements
  • Establish and implement an effective engagement and communication strategy and plan that takes account of all stakeholder groups, including the project team
  • Develop the change strategy and plan ensuring that all change impacts are identified, and that required changes are planned and delivered

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role/capacity
  • Supply Chain experience in a global environment
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of demand and capacity planning
