We are recruiting a Technical Sales & Service Manager to be responsible for managing the sales process and technical services delivered to direct sales accounts in the allocated sales region. You will provide both sales and technical service management for our clients in the Refineries business.  You will be accountable for developing our customer strategy and delivering demonstrable value to allocated customers across the European region.  Supporting the Key Account teams with all aspects of their operational and technical use of JM products and services, whilst delivering demonstrative value through superior product performance and unrivalled technical service support.  


Key responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process for customers from identifying an opportunity, quotation, negotiation and closing profitable sales deals.

  • Deliver sales, gross margin, and customer contribution for the sales region.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and stakeholders to create value and build transformational long-term partnerships.

  • Provide technical and product advice to customers to drive their project and investment plans, improve efficiency and performance of their production assets and processes, and bring value to JM and customers.

  • Continually seeking and developing opportunities for the introduction of new products and services for our customers.

  • Coordinating with Technical Service Teams to ensure superior product performance for customers.

  • Work closely with Regional teams to ensure consistent global customer service.

  • Share customer and market insights with relevant Catalyst Technologies teams to better understand market requirements and improve JM offering.

  • Providing advice to allocated Key Accounts in reviews of project and investment plans for improvement of their production assets.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have/be:


  • A degree in a scientific/technical discipline.

  • A background in refineries, absorbents and catalysts with specific experience in FCC Unit operation.

  • Proven technical sales experience including complex negotiations.

  • Expertise setting up and managing sales channels and processes.

  • Detailed understanding of technical product features of the Catalyst Technology portfolio.
