Desktop Support Intern

PEMCO is looking for a Desktop Support Intern who’s ready to contribute to our IT projects and strategies. Your efforts will be key to a number of important projects involving Self-Service, Desktop Standardization, and Asset Management. With this role, you’ll gain knowledge and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware related issues as well as exposure to a number of different areas of IT: Desktop Support, Networks, IT Security, Telecom, Video Conferencing, and Application Support.

This is a full-time paid position starting in May/June, expected to last about 12 weeks (flexible around school schedule), and is based out of our headquarters in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle.


The key projects you’ll be a part of

  • Remote and on site Help Desk support Services and Incident requests
  • Contribute to the implementation of Self-Service, Desktop & conference room Standardization, and Asset Management projects
  • Assist with implementation, training and adoption of new Mobile Device Management solution, multiple cloud based solution offerings, and supporting audio and video teleconference room solutions.


About you

  • Attending a university/college in the Pacific Northwest (Juniors and Seniors preferred)
  • Pursuing a major/career related to Information Technology or Computer Science required
  • Prior related work, school, or internship experience in a customer-service setting
  • Resourceful and proactive collaborator with previous experience in data collection, user-centered design, content management systems, learning tools, cloud based SaaS solutions, VDI familiarity and presenting research in summary reports
  • Ready to get your career started by learning the day-in, day-out reality of an entry role in Desktop Support
