As a Senior Property Adjuster for PEMCO, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and resolution of assigned residential property claims in the field, with a territory consisting of Eastern Washington. You'll be provided with a company car and work out of our Spokane, WA office. Use your talents to provide the world class experience our customers expect from us. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inspections of damaged property, direct vendors in such activity and make payments within authority limits or make recommendations accordingly
  • Work with other senior adjusters on liability property damage claims and conduct scene inspections
  • Handle a wide range of claim complexities from simple to major by applying statute, case law and policy
  • Frequently correspond, interview or interact with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, agents, attorneys, contractors and/or other vendors as appropriate
  • Investigate and resolve claims involving dwelling, contents, ALE, assist with subrogation efforts
  • May be required to fill in for a supervisor as a technical resource
  • May be called upon for Catastrophe duty handling claims in Washington and Oregon

Position Qualifications

  • Six or more (6+) years of experience in property claims adjusting roles required; partial or past construction experience is valued and considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency with residential construction and estimating software (Xactimate) required
  • Certifications in CPCU, AIC Arson/Fraud or other claims specific designations helpful
  • Ability to work flexible hours; on call work is expected
  • B.A./B.S. preferred or equivalent work history
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

Job Conditions

This job requires the ability to use a computer work station, the ability to lift 25 lbs., and extensive travel. Property adjusters work under adverse weather conditions.
