Do you have a passion for customer service and helping facilitate the claims process? If so, PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company has full-time positions for Associate Customer Service Specialists available in our Spokane location.

Your background in customer service will be enhanced by in-house training as well as an external class to obtain your Property & Casualty agent's license shortly after hire. Your experience in call center environments is a plus. 

Applicants must be available to work during call center hours of operation: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

What you'll be doing:

  • Holistically review customer insurance needs including up-quote, cross-sell and write/issue applications
  • Manage relationship of existing customers via multiple forms of customer contact
  • Proactively advocate for PEMCO by asking for referrals
  • Resolve customer issues and provide proactive solutions or options including additional lines of business with support
  • Service customers' claims needs (including processing claims within authority) and review coverages
  • Underwrite risks up to level of authority, conduct policy/coverage reviews, when appropriate, and counsel policyholders on coverage
  • Use elementary Property & Casualty insurance knowledge to inform customer decisions

What you have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Outlook, required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a service professional with increasing levels of responsibility required; experience in Property & Casualty or financial industry preferred
  • One (1) year of call center experience preferred

Job Conditions

This job requires the ability to use desktop computers and extensive use of the telephone. Flexibility in work hours, including weekends, required. Must obtain a Property & Casualty license within 45 days of start date.
