About the Opportunity:


Comtech Mission Critical Technologies is looking for a Reset Technician.


The Reset Technician demonstrates progressively increasing responsibility in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications and electronics equipment.  Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.  Is capable of disassembling of equipment, cleaning, identifying and repairing or replacing broken or damaged units.


The selected candidate will be required to work no less than 40 hours a week and be required to lift to 50lbs.

  • Assist with Inventory in-bound shipments of Reset Equipment.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of Reset Equipment.
  • Disassemble equipment down to and below LRU items for cleaning, calibration, repair and to be re-assembled and tested accordingly.
  • Perform calibration and satellite testing of Reset Equipment/Systems.
  • Assist in moving Reset Equipment between storage and work facilities if needed.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and small to large parts. 


Skills Required:


  • Shall have knowledge of tactical and commercial satellite communication equipment.                                                                                                                                                         
  • Shall know how to operate and Test Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects.
  • Have an understanding and working knowledge of Up/Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Generator (if applicable).
  • Have knowledge of how to use Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE); power meters, spectrum analyzer and voltmeter.




  • Minimum three (2) years’ experience with repairs or refurbishment/repair of SATCOM or SATCOM related equipment.
  • 4 years of military experience in a related field with advanced commercial certification instead of refurbishment/repair experience.




High School Diploma or Equivalent.
