Electronic Validation Engineer

This is what you’ll do:

  • Plan and Perform Verification Testing Activities
  • Analyzing requirements
  • Establishing traceability using requirements management tools
  • Developing test strategy and plans
  • Developing and reviewing functional test plans
  • Developing and reviewing test cases
  • Resolving any identified issues
  • Develop and debug test system configuration
  • Designing cables as needed
  • Specifying electrical and mechanical loads (real and simulated)
  • Configuring tester to simulate normal product inputs and monitor output signals
  • Develop and debug using Vector and National Instrument tools
  • Participate in Bill of Design assessments, CTS, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, CTR, etc.
  • Provide data analytics from data collected during testing
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance technical memory documents, templates, and tracking of BoD, BoM, CTS, DFMEA, ADV Toolbox, Drawing Templates, and Lessons Learned
  • Create test development schedules and test execution schedules
  • Responsible to identify and assess risks that could impact project timing, cost or quality

This is what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required
  • 10+ years of experience working in Design of electronics (automotive preferred) and/or mechatronic systems
  • 10+ years of related experience working in design and development of electronics products as an IT & V
  • Engineer within the automotive industry
  • Functional Safety experience (ISO 26262) (Preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge of Automotive communication systems such as CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Flexray
  • Basic software development skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications
  • Ability to interpret product specifications
  • Labview, TestStand and CAPL programming skills (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Ability to analyze product requirements and determine test strategies
  • Working knowledge of DOORs, JIRA, JAMA and SVN
  • Structured problem-solving skills
