Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a talented individual to join our Customer and Workforce Communications team. The Public Affairs Specialist will be part of a highly visible and effective team that manages both external and internal communication for Colorado Springs Utilities. Collaborating with our electric, natural gas, water and wastewater services groups, you will use your public relations and communication skills to help enable business operations and meet the information needs of our customers.

What will it take to be successful in this position? The ideal candidate will offer a minimum of three years of experience working in public relations or marketing communications, demonstrating a rich portfolio of work across different services and audiences, preferably in the utility industry. We are looking for a team player, with a great attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in public relations, mass communications, marketing, journalism or a related discipline is necessary. A blended background working in both traditional and digital media will ensure you are successful in this role.
