The Inside Sales Lead is responsible for the overall development, performance and managing of inside sales activities, including equipment and parts.  Recommends, plans and strategizes activities needed to achieve sales goals and targets.  Develops metrics needed to determine the overall performance of the insides sales and parts departments.  Responsible for inventory management of parts and equipment as well as recommendations and adjustments to rolling forecasts as they relate to identified sales trends.  Produces, reports on and is responsible for tracking both the parts and equipment forecasts.  This includes updating a 13-month rolling forecast for equipment and parts at all times.

  • Manages the daily activities of Inside Equipment and Parts Sales team.
  • Maintains inventory reports and is responsible for tracking both the parts and equipment forecasts.  This includes updating a 13-month rolling forecast for equipment and parts each month.
  • Creates, manages and maintains competitive pricing comparison documentation.
  • Analyzes equipment and parts forecast performance statistics recommending decisions based on these statistics.

Productivity / Job Knowledge 15%

  • Assists in the development and implementation of sales related plans and programs as needed.
  • Conducts regular coaching with Inside Sales team to motivate to build selling skills as well as identify training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding equipment and part sales performance.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, equipment trends and stays involved with appropriate industry networks.
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develops, implements and reviews core staff responsibilities and tasks.
  • Improve part and equipment sales on time delivery performance through enhanced forecasting accuracy, while maintaining targeted inventory levels.

Requirements

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and or minimum of 4 years of experience with equipment-parts sales management.
  • Strong understanding of online ordering systems.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Able to develop and present appropriate reports and documents to support and lead the inside parts and sales team.
  • Problem solving & decision making.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to develop sourcing strategies appropriate to overall business environment and market factors.  Knowledgeable in a variety of methodologies.
