Job Purpose:

Under the direction of the Vice President Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources is directly responsible for all HR related functions. This role will provide consultation to management on strategic staffing and talent management plans, compensation and benefits, corporate leadership and development and employee relations.  This is a true generalist role and is responsible for partnering closely with the business leaders. This position requires strong, high functioning communication skills and the ability to engage staff at all levels; engages with members of leadership providing direction in developing and executing HR strategies to support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.  This function must operate as the conscience of the organization in ensuring our employees, our customers and our stockholders are well served.

Essential Functions:

  • Cultivate and foster strong relationships with business leadership – educate and instill awareness of the strategic offerings and overall capabilities of the human resources function.
  • Maintain clear, effective lines of communication throughout the organization, keeping all employees well-informed regarding new programs and developments, critical issues, and policy changes.
  • Execute initiatives pertaining to engaging staff, improving employee morale and effectiveness in response to employment engagement surveys and work with leaders in all regions to deliver a common approach across the organization.
  • Benchmark current benefit offerings against competitors with the goal of offering a competitive suite of benefits to attract and retain top talent.
  • Motivate and involve stakeholders to help implement and support change and develops strategies to deal with resistance to change.
  • Provide employee relations assistance to all employees in a fair and consistent manner; offer advice and flexible support to managers in addressing employee issues.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all country, state, and local laws and regulatory guidelines; Maintain expert understanding of federal, state, and other regulatory agency rules and guidelines
  • Monitor current trends and innovations in human resources practices, make recommendations and implement new programs and policies as appropriate.



Experience and Education (minimums)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, Masters preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience leading a global HR department.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Oracle HCM/Fusion a plus) and implementation of systems
  • Health and wellness programs knowledge; international experience

  • Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled.
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office and Google Apps for Work.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international as needed.
