If so, we are searching for someone like you to join our team of experts in support to the HIA division, PLMi (Product Lifecycle Management) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Capability Initiative (CI) to improve AF logistics and engineering through the lifecycle of a product. Specifically, PLM improvement must address common access by logistics and engineering communities to Product Lifecycle Information (PLI). It must also provide accurate storage and quick retrieval of unclassified PLI to support efficient configuration management, integrated engineering processes across and between program offices, timely responses to customer requests for engineering and related technical assistance, and effective engineering analysis activities. These improvements are focused on providing improved upstream acquisition activities and downstream sustainment engineering processes that result in improved supply and maintenance customer support.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The contractor shall advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats.
Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:
Analyzing and recommending network requirements
Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure
Analyzing network workload
Monitoring network capacity and performance
Diagnosing and resolving network problems
Recommending network backup and recovery procedures
Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
Required Education and Experience:
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 15 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
Current or ability to obtain Secret clearance
Highly proficient with computers and software applications to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), expert attention-to-detail & highly organized
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
