Description of Duties:
MCR is hiring Senior-level Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) analysts for an Air Force client who leads multi-service innovation established to preserve Air Force and DoD military advantage from commercial and economic risks. Our team will sit on-site with our customers who are focused in-depth analytic assessments to identify and assess geostrategic risks that challenge DoD equities and threaten to undermine current foundations of U.S. global power, leadership and national security. Key duties associated with this position include: 
  • Prepare audit readiness work products in accordance with DoD FIAR guidance
  • Provide FIAR Lead Support to include reviewing completed work for accuracy of data, information procedure and guidance compliance, and error-free documentation prior to submission to the Government
  • Implement internal control testing and verification in support of the Management Internal Control Program
  • Ensure Compliance with DoD Financial Improvement Initiative business rules, including development of Financial Improvement Plans and Corrective Action Plans, and updates to Key Milestone Plans in support of DoD FIAR guidance
  • Remediate audit findings and prepare post-audit sustainment strategies and plans
  • Prepare various documents and briefings for review and use by senior Air Force leaders
  • Assist in identifying efficiencies and process improvements to enhance mission and cost effectiveness
  • Assist in developing and monitoring metrics to track the effectiveness and progress of programs
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial or related discipline
  • 10 years of experience providing, managing and directing delivery of business and/or financial management services
  • Demonstrated experience providing FIAR support and in planning, organizing, executing and controlling project tasks resulting in successful delivery of professional services
  • Knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive compartmented information (SCI) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a financial related discipline
  • Related certification (Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA))
