As the Senior Operations Research (OR) Analyst within MCR’s Civil organization you will be the lead in developing benefits for FAA programs and providing guidance and support across all business case activities.
Description of Duties:
Develop a variety of benefits estimating products using OR tools/techniques, such as queuing analysis, linear programming, and cost savings – generally performed in conjunction with cost analysts.
Evaluate a programs impact on operations to determine the appropriate benefits model to apply.For example, a new runway increases airport capacity a queuing model may be the most appropriate to estimate changes in flight delay.
Perform duties such as:data collection, model development, database management, data normalization, risk analysis, sensitivity analysis and economic evaluations (e.g., net present value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and other return-on-investment metrics).
Actively participate in technical working groups with engineering, budget, schedule, and acquisition functional team members
Manage customer relationships and expectations
Provide directions/guidance to Junior OR Analysts
Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust clearance
10+ years of experience in OR/benefits analysis and/or analytical focused positions
Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business or Finance.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other MS Products.
Database skills (Oracle or another SQL)
Strong analytical background in gathering and interpreting complex amounts of data and excellent communication skills.
Experience working on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs
Knowledge of aviation and air traffic operations
Strong statistical knowledge and application using tools such as Crystal Ball™ or @Risk™ to perform Monte-Carlo analyses.
Advanced degree (Masters/PhD)
