Overview of the Position
The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) provides the Combatant Commands (COCOMs), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), and the Joint Staff with effects-based, precision targeting options for selected networks and nodes in order to carry out the national security and military strategy of the United States during peace, crisis, and war. This position supports acquisition management for JWAC, which is located at the Naval Support Activity - South Potomac (NSA-SP) base located in Dahlgren, Virginia (VA).
The successful candidate will provide financial management support to conduct financial planning and support activities for current and future programs in accordance with Federal, DoD, Air Force and JWAC laws regulations, policies, directives and instructions.
Duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide financial management support for planning, organizing and managing the forecast, execution, analysis and adjustment of JWAC financial programs.
Provide support to various financial management program actions and activities, including meetings, funds tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, risk management, and decision documents preparation.
Assist in preparation, coordination, and documentation of other financial analysis execution and analysis in the Budget Execution Division.
Top Secret, SCI/SAP eligible clearance required (SSBI/Tier 5 within the last six years)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
3 – 10 years of relevant experience with Air Force financial processes, procedures and functions
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
