Essential Functions: The ability to give a brief and informative speech in an energetic and engaging manner about the Space Needle, Seattle, surrounding areas, & local geography while operating an elevator. Answer guest questions and manage elevator lines. Act as a designated floor warden.
Experience & Skills Required: Ability to comfortably speak to large groups of people, engage guests, and initiate conversation while being out going and pleasant with all internal and external guests. Possession of superior guest service & professional attitude is a must. Ability to manage own time and be a motivated self-starter. Ability to read guests and anticipate interaction is required. Must be flexible and open to different and changing business needs. A strong guest service background with a proven track record of providing professional, world class guest service under challenging conditions. Ability to provide guest service while multitasking and managing detailed ticketing processes. A proven team oriented focus to maintain efficiency during periods of high volume.
Other Ideal Qualifications: Knowledge of Seattle and surrounding area. CPR certified.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand and speak for the entire shift. A typical shift is approximately 6-8 hours. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Must be comfortable with heights, confined spaces and continual motion.
