About the job:
Chicago Public Media is transforming the way we communicate and strengthen our relationship with our diverse listeners and members through digital channels, and are looking for a dynamic and growth-oriented candidate to lead those efforts. The Director, Membership eCRM and Digital Marketing, is responsible for leading and integrating our digital communications with members and listeners across email, mobile and paid digital media. Leveraging traditional direct and digital marketing techniques, you will create a cohesive and engaging journey that drives listeners and our digital audience to engage with WBEZ. You will own and lead the adoption of SalesForce Marketing Cloud across the team leveraging campaign best practices and platform features to deepen our 1:1 relationship with our audience. As a 21st Century Marketer, you will create the eCRM strategy, set and track goals for revenue and list building, and establish meaningful reporting/analysis to drive the expected outcomes. This position reports to the VP, Membership.
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
  • Leverage prior hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform to drive implementation of best practices and adoption of system capabilities across the membership team.
  • Create and execute digital campaigns to support membership and list building via owned media, paid search and paid social to achieve desired CPA targets and volumes.
  • Provide strategic oversite of eCRM multi-channel campaign orchestration, automation and design.
  • Act as a team thought leader by identifying new tactics and opportunities to drive transformative eCRM revenue growth.
  • Experience leading and mentoring direct reports, while also effortlessly managing your own projects and deliverables.
  • Hands-on experience coding and modifying HTML email and landing page templates.
  • Ability to create a full-lifecycle strategy for prospects and members from high-level concept to hands-on implementation in a marketing automation platform.
Additional Position Requirements:
  • Seamless cross-functional collaboration to facilitate engagement activities and assist with member retention.
  • Experience ideating, developing, building, executing and measuring paid search and social campaigns.
  • Experience with analytics and using data and metrics to inform strategies; Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics experience a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – you can adjust your communication style to speak “tech” or “marketing” when the situation warrants.
  • Detail-oriented and organized – you understand the importance of detail, without losing sight of the big picture.
