Bloom Energy, the leader in disruptive energy solutions based on its world changing fuel cell technology is looking for an exceptional Enterprise Systems Engineer to drive the commercial change needed to take advantage of the significant energy transformation the US is undergoing.
The Enterprise Systems Engineer will be the primary driver technical Sales activities, developing customer relationships and requirements for the implementation of distributed generation products and solutions. The Enterprise Systems Engineer will use in-depth product and industry knowledge to provide technical expertise to the customer through technical sales presentations, detailed customer engagements developing strategic requirements documentation and the development of product solutions to meet those requirements. The Enterprise Systems Engineer will create conceptual designs and implementation specifications for complex solutions to demonstrate the feasibility of Bloom’s product.
The Enterprise Systems Engineer must have experience working independently in a competitive sales environment with a focus on eliminating technical barriers and representing a highly technical product or service related to the power industry. The Enterprise Systems Engineer must have a strong understanding of a broad set of engineering and construction solutions and have the ability to manage the internal and external pre-sales solution development process.
Job responsibilities include technical site analysis and conceptual solution development; sales support; and managing customer relationships. Knowledge of technical sales engagements and major enterprise sales experience as a technical lead is essential.
Role and Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for supporting quota attainment in the territory by providing technical support and expertise direct to customers in support of sales objectives.
§ Responsible for defining customer requirements and establishing product specification for customer solutions. Produce project specific contract inputs as needed.
§ Technically support the Sales team with Bid and Proposal writing.
§ Understanding and overcoming customer technical objects and securing approval to proceed with project key.
§ Responsible for providing technical feedback based on customer requirements to engineering and product management based on customer feedback and engagement.
§ Define scope of work during pre-sales process leveraging internal and external resources with conceptual designs to implement electrical, mechanical & civil infrastructure connections between Bloom Energy system, customer site, and utility.
§ Work with customers, Sales, Field Service, Technical Support and Engineering to create escalation and resolution processes for problems related to customer installations.
§ Train Account Executives, Installations Engineers, Product Support Engineers and Field Service Engineers on lessons learned and how to optimize customer solutions.
§ Work with Product Management and Product Engineering to evaluate technical solutions and market trends for products applications that are not yet developed by Bloom Energy.
§ Able to travel through sales territory.
Skills and Experience:
§ Engineering degree in Engineering discipline or minimum 15 years relevant experience in technical discipline.
§ 12+ years in a customer facing/support role preferred.
§ 8+ years relevant experience in power generation, critical power, or fuel cell applications.
