They are currently seeking Mechanic Inspector in Fort Hood, TX.
This Mechanic Inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains files, and document results of all inspections. This position is responsible for all initial and final inspections, IAW AR 750-1, on tactical and non-tactical vehicles consisting of multiple light wheeled, heavy wheeled and track vehicles.
The MVM Inspector must have extensive knowledge in the required skills and abilities of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic, who repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. MVM work involves most of the following:
Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems. In general, the work of the MVM requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office Skills.
• Extremely knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background screening.
• 10+ years of experience heavy/light/tracked equipment maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a CAC.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
• ASE Certification.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or Class B).
