Description

Our client is a professional services company specializing in logistics engineering, information technology and international development.  They provide resources to assist public and private sector organizations to accomplish their mission through improved productivity, cost savings, and the leverage of scarce resources.

They are currently seeking Stock Clerk in Fort Hood, TX.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Stock Clerk receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard. This worker sorts, or weights incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications, stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material, fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. This worker also compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments, may mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles, may distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued, may make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock, and my cut stock to site to fill order.

Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in military logistics procedures.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background screening.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a CAC.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

•  U.S. Army 92 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
•  GCSS-A Training/Experience (ERPS).
