The Transportation Quality Control Inspector examines any of a variety of goods, services or operations for conformity to established quality, health, safety, legal, business, ethical or other standards, by performing any combination of the following duties: verifies that established standards are maintained relative to such matters as fleet management, vehicle maintenance, customer requirements support, transportation methods, building and facilities and business practices, operations and services. The QC Inspector may affix seals or tags to approved items, issues or revokes licenses and permits or ascertains that licenses and permits have been obtained and are displayed, confers with officials, interprets regulations and codes, and assists establishments in altering methods and practices to meet established standards. Investigates complaints and violations, prepares reports of findings and action taken or recommended, file charges and testifies in court, recommends changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods, and practices.
Work may include extended hours and multi-schedule work times. TMP is open 24/7/365 and the QC Inspector may be recalled during different shifts to resolve quality, safety and service issues.
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Required Skills and Experience
• 7+ years of experience with transportation support or maintenance operations
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain CAC

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Passenger and Hazmat endorsements
• Army transportation support experience
