Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with investors, attorneys and realtors, vendors and title companies.

  • Manage a portfolio of distressed REO assets including monitoring the vendor and property rehab/ preservation.

  • Review, analyze, and reconcile property appraisals and broker price opinions.

  • Develop marketing strategies that will maximize sale proceeds and time.

  • Monitor repairs, review bids, and ensure final cost does not exceed amount approved by client.

  • Work with client and vendor to negotiate.

  • Collect, review, process, and negotiate purchase agreements, counter offers, price reductions and listing extensions.

  • Cure title defects, confirm POA, corporate resolutions and deeds are properly drafted, executed and delivered.

  • Ensure timely closings; work with company and vendor to ensure clear title to minimize closing delays.

  • Work with internal staff and external vendors to ensure REO management timelines are consistently met.

  • Accurately document all events and actions and update steps timely for reporting

  • Strictly adhere to timelines and performance standards

  • Demonstrate creativity and adaptability in order to resolve issues.

  • Work directly with the client to proactively manage their risks.

  • Make sound business decisions based on the best interests of the clients

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school education

  • 2-3 years asset management or real estate experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of title process, Real Estate Practices and contracts, Law and Financing

  • Detail oriented and ability to efficiently prioritize

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
