  • Identify opportunities for cost and risk reduction, efficiency gains and enhanced levels of service, particularly surrounding functions that require manual effort, and present viable solutions.

  • Conduct analysis to determine root causes of identified problem areas and provide inputs into recommendations for process change.

  • Provide reporting and analysis on the financial impact and return-on-investment of department projects.

  • Understand the business units served by the department, such as their systems, processes, risks, opportunities, etc.

  • Identify and document business requirements.

  • Prepare and/or analyze current process flows and recommend and implement future state solutions.

  • Analyze process change requests and provide insight on their impacts on existing processes, data gaps, organization, risks, controls, roles and systems.

  • Create customized reporting to identify risk and maximize operational controls.

  • Ensure on-time, on-budget and on-scope delivery.

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reporting related to process improvement projects.

  • Independently lead and assist with projects, including such major activities as:

    • Identifying business improvements and solutions;

    • Developing business cases and procedures;

    • Identifying, measuring and analyzing loan servicing operational data;

    • Defining requirements;

    • Designing processes and organization;

    • Implementing and controlling process change;

    • Conducting ongoing solution analysis.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 5 or more years’ mortgage servicing experience, including documenting or managing processes

  • Six Sigma certification preferred

  • Experience and knowledge of project management practices

  • Ability to drive and/or manage process improvement initiatives

  • Functional understanding of loan servicing including government-sponsored entity servicing requirements

  • Experience with issue resolution and group facilitation

  • Superior problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and focus on delivery with the ability to work effectively without close supervision

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for all levels

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing systems, particularly MSP/Black Knight, preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
