  • Develop and revise training content using appropriate instructional design methods to support and drive enterprise-wide training and performance development efforts through blended learning and development solutions.

  • Apply knowledge of current learning models and adult learning theory to determine the best instructional strategy to meet internal customer learning expectations.

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional content and course materials to be used by trainers, other facilitators, and learners.

    • Create instructionally sound, effective, and engaging training programs/modules on a variety of topics and related learning outcomes

    • Provide design support for all soft-skills, technical skills, new hire orientation, client specifics, management development, regulatory and compliance, and recurrent training needs.

    • Incorporate blended learning solutions consistent with adult learning theory including the use of multimedia. Partner with operational leadership to ensure that all training is performance-based, practical, and supports key learning objectives and business needs.

    • Incorporate skill, creativity, and a variety of media into courses that reflect the best interactive methodology for end-users.

    • Update courses, curricula, and training modules as needed based on system enhancements, operational changes, and regulatory/policy changes

    • Convert appropriate existing instructor-led courses to an e-learning format to meet the needs of an on-line learner.

  • Manage design processes within the department to ensure adherence with established design standards as well as effective and efficient operations.

    • Ensure all training materials reflect the look and feel of the company's brand.

    • Research and provide recommendations on appropriate design and authoring software/tools based on current market trends and related industry enhancements.

    • Establish appropriate design practices, protocol, and templates to ensure a high quality learning experience.

    • Independently research the subject matter and incorporate varied learning strategies and methodologies to appeal to diverse learning preferences.

  • Utilize feedback on course effectiveness to improve course design and implementation practices.

    • Design pre- and post-training evaluation methods to determine application mastery of course concepts and to measure the overall effectiveness of curriculum.

    • Demonstrate creativity in making suggestions and modifications to existing course design.

    • Translate feedback into actions that generate a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee and conduct design project management tasks.

    • Independently determine the content and scope of a project. Outline project plans for each assigned project. Follow outlined project plan and meet deadlines.

    • Manage project plans and identify potential project completion issues, escalating issues appropriately.

    • Organize the production of curriculum materials. Ensure all training material is housed on appropriate collaboration sites and is set to keep all versions.

    • Utilize workflow for approvals for all training material.

  • Keep informed of new learning technologies and adult learning principles and practices, as well as knowledge of call center industry educational techniques.

  • Other duties as assigned.                                                                                                            



  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or related instructional field

  • 5-7 years’ experience developing training programs for adult learners in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

  • 5 years’ experience in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional materials, including comprehensive knowledge of current instructional design methodology and multimedia

  • 3-5 years’ experience working knowledge of technology products, including relevant graphics/authoring tools

  • 3 or more years’ experience in designing online and web-based curriculum using current authoring tools a plus

  • Demonstrated skills in project planning, project management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Experience in conducting subject matter expert interviews, assessment, and testing

  • Ability to convey highly technical materials and concepts at a level suitable to the industry

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles

  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills; excellent proofreading ability

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively and tactfully interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • High level of motivation: self-starter, ability to quickly organize materials, ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced team environment

  • Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and adapt to change quickly

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook
