Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Property Preservation team throughout the inspection/preservation process.

  • Coordinate the management of the preservation actions to ensure timely and accurate processing of all inspections and preservation work, from first time vacancy through completed foreclosure sale or conveyance date.

  • Assign and monitor work to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and guidelines.

  • Review daily management reports to ensure compliance with GSE guidelines and client requirements for property inspections/preservation.

  • Create additional reports to enable proper monitoring of work output.

  • Implement processes within required timeframes of new GSE and/or state guideline changes.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key individuals within the organization, external vendors and clients.

  • Monitor vendor performance; ensure performance is consistent with the statement of work (SOW); report any performance out of the scope of the SOW.

  • Schedule and conduct calls with vendors to discuss overall performance.

  • Respond to escalated client or borrower requests and concerns.

  • Attend client meetings and calls.

  • Identify opportunities within the department for process improvement to enhance efficiencies.

  • Assist with implementation of department policies and procedures; communicate new requirements to staff.

  • Provide guidance and assistance to staff to fulfill their responsibilities; ensure appropriate training, equipment and supplies are provided to perform effectively.

  • Set staffing goals, prepare and present performance reviews, review department performance and plan regular department meetings.

  • Develop and distribute performance improvement plans for employees in need of assistance.

  • Monitor attendance records and approve time off requests.

  • Conduct interviews of potential job candidates.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4 year college degree preferred

  • 2 -3 years related default servicing experience in the mortgage banking industry

  • Previous leadership experience preferred; ability to work with all levels of individuals as a team player or in a leadership role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good organization skills with ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Access, as well as spreadsheets and software applications
