  • Provide support to Loss Mitigation supervisor/department; assist with entire opening process associated with various loan workouts.

  • Open and distribute all mail, i.e. US mail, interoffice mail, faxes and emails.

  • Retrieve and redistribute voice mails in loss mitigation queue; email other staff to inform them of content if needed.

  • Confirm accurate set-up of loss mitigation workstation in mortgage servicing system.

  • Review incoming documentation to determine if required documents are complete; send letters where loss mitigation file is not complete.

  • Order credit bureau reports, title/bring down searches, appraisals and/or broker price opinion (BPO) determinations.

  • Scan and inventory all applicable documents into appropriate imaging module and/or retrieve pertinent documents.

  • Assign completed loss mitigation packages to underwriters.

  • Input data into various GSE and agency models/systems, i.e. HomeSaver Solutions Network (HSSN), Workout Prospector, VA Loan Electronic Reporting Interface (VALERI) and HUD’s Credit Alert Verification Reporting System (Caivrs).

  • Preparation and/or distribution of investor/insurer/client reports, as well as daily, weekly and monthly internal department reporting, including telecommunication (ACD) reporting.

  • Payment of all third party vendor invoices utilizing electronic means, manually or any other method required;

  • Support conversion and deconversion activity.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.



  • High school education

  • 1 - 3 years service in a general office environment with experience in residential mortgage servicing preferred

  • Ability to utilize standard business related software including, but not limited to MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel

  • Ability to use and/or learn industry related software specific to company and the department

  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing system’s (MSP/Black Knight) loss mitigation workstation preferred

  • Ability to type 45-50 wpm with reasonable accuracy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized and self-motivated with ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision
