Hillel International is seeking a new Associate Director of Campaign Services to join Hillel International’s newly formed Global Leadership pillar. Over the last five years, as Hillel International has pursued its strategic plan, The Drive to Excellence, it has more than doubled the annual fundraising of its Schusterman International Center (from $25M to over $50M) and is well on its way of growing Hillel’s Total Movement Revenue from $90M to $200M per year (currently at $160M). As part of this growth, Hillel International has been able to dramatically increase the amount of grant dollars available to local affiliates at nearly 600 campuses in over 17 countries, while also providing complementary services and expertise to help maximize the impact of these grants.  

The Associate Director of Campaign Services will be based in our Washington, DC office and will report to the Vice President for Global Leadership Campaigns.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for the oversight and management of the Campaign Service - Operations team and their activities including, but not limited to all aspects of gift administration, acknowledgements, reporting and customer service.
  • Oversee processing of all gift transactions and all related operational activities, including donor acknowledgement, pledge collection, stewardship reporting and working closely with our fiscal partners ensuring that work is carried out in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Work closely with our current vendors and new vendors to explore new technology, when needed.
  • Partner with fiscal to develop best practices in gift processing, reconciliation and grant and payment tracking.
  • Work closely with internal departments to establish best practices and processes in endowment management and planned giving.
  • In partnership with the Vice President and Senior Business Analyst, create an organizational culture around the use and implementation of Salesforce. Will be responsible for providing necessary training and resources to staff and will serve as the professional to hold colleagues accountable for adoption of the tool as the way to measure and track the work of our department; and
  • Maintains all Gift Policy and Procedures for Hillel International and develops best practices for campus Hillels.
  • Manages the Campaign Services – Operations team, currently two associates.

 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least seven of related development operations/advancement services or development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
  • Three+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exhibit good judgment in making independent decisions concurrent with our mission and values.
  • Ability to work independently as well as establish and maintain professional relationships with other departments across the organization.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical personnel. Excellent customer service skills.
  • A commitment to continuous process improvement is expected.
  • Experience with a fundraising CRM, preferably Salesforce.
