Job Description:

Sometimes known as customer service representative, guest services associate, reservations clerk, receptionist, or front desk agent, Guest Services Agents (GSA) is the hospitality industry’s equivalent of a restaurant host.  The main responsibility of a Guest Services Agent is to meet the needs of all guests staying in Viceroy Snowmass.  Job duties include answering phones, booking reservations, responding to e-mails and electronic reservations, greeting guests upon entry to the hotel, checking in new guest, checking out guests, answering questions, and providing any necessary services to ensure a customer’s satisfaction.

Education/Experience: 

High School graduate.

Technical Skills: 

      (Duties include but are not limited to):

  • Possesses knowledge of hotel pms systems

  • Handles departmental accounting of monies, receipts, guest accounts and other forms of credit; post all charges; completes cashier’s report, prepares deposit and counts cashier banks.Follows hotel’s credit policies

  • Be knowledgeable in all hotel facilities and local area

  • Provided a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

  • Revenue optimization through check in, checkout and attentive coordinator of hotel services for the guest.

  • Maintains supplies neat and organized to department standards.

  • Follows and enforces company policies and procedures

    NOTE:  And other duties as assigned by his/her direct supervisor or management.

Functional Skills:

  • Able to work independently, ability to prioritize and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to type 30-35 wpm

  • Required standing/walking/bending throughout shift and able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds

  • Great guest services skills, verbal, and written skills

  • Must have a pleasant attitude and excellent demeanor.

  • Must work well under pressure.

  • Must be proficient in computer/software use.

  • Able to demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to project a positive attitude over the telephone and in person.

  • Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holiday.

  • Previous Guest Service Skills experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma preferred.
