Manages the Purchasing functions and colleagues to ensure high quality products and services to the standard set by the hotel, ensuring highest levels of guest, company and colleague satisfaction.  As a department head, directs and/or works with Finance, Kitchen and Purchasing management team and colleagues to successfully execute all Purchasing functions; strives to continually improve guest, owner and colleague satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.




Essential Responsibilities


To oversee the efficient running of the Purchasing operations for the Resort and Residences.  Ensure adherence to company health and food safety standards as well as compliance of food handling laws of Colorado.  To ensure that the Purchasing services and products meet and exceed Resort and customer expectations.




  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, suppliers and equipment.
  • Keeps the Purchasing team focused on guest satisfaction and desired financial results.
  • Ensures purchasing service occurs according to operating and quality standards.
  • Creates, maintains and ensures compliance with all Purchasing policies, standards and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance of company sanitation standards.
  • Establishes goals and objectives for all areas of responsibility and communicates effectively same to all colleagues.
  • Directs colleagues to strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Initiates and maintains an effective training and inspection program of all Purchasing and storage areas to ensure compliance of Health and Safety procedures and local laws.
