Restaurant Greeter:

Reporting to our Food & Beverage Management team, this Restaurant Greeter professionally welcomes guests upon arrival and works with the Management team to control the flow of seating, manages reservations, answers phone calls, and assists with service in the restaurant. The greeter will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Manage OpenTable reservation system
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly, and engaging manner
  • Proactively track and record guest preferences in OpenTable; alerting Management of any known allergies or specific preferences
  • Have an uderstanding and knowledge of all menu items, including beverages, specials, and promotions
  • Prioritize guest needs
  • Be respectful and courteous to all colleagues and guests
  • Maintain the ambiance and service standards of the Hotel at all times
  • Prepare for service; setting condiments, candles, napkins, dishes, polishing glassware and utensils
  • Adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Assist with food and drink delivery if necessary
  • Respond to additional guest requests observing dining process
  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging guests upon exiting, with a warm invitation to come back
  • Providing assistance to servers when necessary
  • Restock service stations as needed


  • Previous luxury hospitality experience in a similar role an asset
  • Friendly and able to build a rapport with guests to establish future business
  • Offers a charismatic style of service tailored to specific guests and their needs
  • Learn and retain the product knowledge relative to the position on the floor
  • Colleagues will be expected to successfully resolve any guest issues and complaints in addition to communicating all concerns to management
  • The ability to listen to, assess, and appropriately respond to information conveyed
  • The ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to speak with confidence
  • Ability to effectively listen to instruction and assist with dining room service when called upon
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Maintain guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make decisions in high pressure situations
  • Other duties to be assigned

Physical Requirements (includes but are not limited to):        

  • Standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending throughtout shift
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs or ramps

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
