POSITION:  Administrative Coordinator/Program Specialist – College of Social & Behavioral Sciences (FT)


Effective immediately:  (FT) Administrative Coordinator/Program Specialist – College of Social & Behavioral Sciences – Multiple Locations - Wilmington University.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Must have 2 years of experience in relevant duties, Administrative Assistant or a similar position. This position requires excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. The candidate must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Knowledge of relatable SIS, Recruit, Advise, and Micro-Office Suite is required. The candidate must be able to type 35 – 55 wpm. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The candidate must maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•    Supports all assigned academic programs and the University’s mission by providing student-centered services and systems and administrative support to Director’s, Chairs, and the Dean reinforcing academic excellence.
•    Provide support in facilitating the catalog process, data collection and analysis, course scheduling, and academic processes, strengthening our organization.
•    Evaluate current Academic Affairs processes for redundancies and/or inefficiencies and develop alternatives for Chairs, Directors, and the Dean to assure student access and success.
•    Serve as a primary point of contact to focus on and expand opportunity for students, faculty, and stakeholders for the coordination and scheduling of internal and external events, symposia, and program level activities.
•    Identify and provide individual program level support ranging from Outcomes Assessment, Program Review, Accreditation Compliance, and web page curriculum accuracy, in collaboration with faculty to assure innovative and relevant curriculum.  
•    Provide support for communication of internal operations, marketing, and student extra-curricular activities for program and college initiatives strengthening our college and focusing on students.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the college.

Hours of Employment: Generally, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Candidate must be flexible with hours and/or schedule to meet the needs of the department and/or the university.  Hours and site may vary based on need.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
