POSITION:     Student Recruiter (PT) – Recruiting Department


Effective immediately:  (PT) Student Recruiter, Recruitment – Southern New Jersey.

Requirements:  A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Prior experience in higher education is required or at least two years of sales experience. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, customer-service skills, and organization skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently, as well as work successfully in a team environment. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate will gain a working knowledge of Recruiting Software and become proficient with the CRM system. The ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  
•    Possess a strong knowledge of Wilmington University’s degree programs, program requirements, tuition and course formats (online, hybrid, block scheduling, etc.) and relate this information to prospective students and organizations in a highly professional and caring manner.
•    Knowledge of college admission guidelines, standards, and procedures, and higher education recruitment in general; knowledge of various financial aid programs, including application deadlines and regulations; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to plan and implement recruitment events in an organized and efficient manner; ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with college faculty, staff, administration, students, and members of the community and the public.
•    Facilitate the promotion of undergrad, graduate and doctorial programs to perspective students.
•    Represent the University at corporate partnerships, events, and throughout the community.
•    Actively seek new recruiting activities and develop relationships to create new enrollment opportunities.
•    Represent the university at a variety of recruiting events that target prospect populations interested in higher education.
•    Provide routine reporting, internally, on enrollment and other metrics.
•    Support the university mission and articulates the values of the University to area college counselors, administrators, students, parents, alumni, corporations and/or governmental agencies.
•    Work towards university strategic goals and enrollment goals.
•    Must agree to work evenings and weekends.
•    Perform other duties, which may be assigned by the supervisor, Director of Recruiting.

Hours of Employment:  Generally, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. The candidate must be flexible with the hours and/or schedule to meet the needs of the department and/or the University.  Travel will be required; evenings and weekends will be required.
