This position will primarily work every other weekend

Hours:  Pharmacy is open  Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-4:30pm. There will be cross coverage at BridgePoint National Harbor.

Description:   As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist at Bridgepoint Hospital Capitol Hill, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; and compounding intravenous medications.  You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Facility:     BridgePoint Hospital Capitol Hill Campus is a Long Term Acute Care hospital with an ICU that provides 60 beds in private rooms for extended stay critical care patients, plus 120 nursing center beds. Patient care and recovery are overseen by an incredible staff of well-trained healthcare professionals and support personnel. The hospital has 24 hour In-House Physician, Nursing and Respiratory Therapy coverage.  Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • DC Pharmacy Technician License
  • Minimum 1 year recent hospital pharmacy technician experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
