Hours: 1 Weekday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00pm to start
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Retail Pharmacist at Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center's new Retail Pharmacy, you will fill orders and dispense medications/prescriptions prescribed by an authorized prescriber and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient and customer outcome. Maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; counseling patients on their prescriptions. Update the Pharmacy Manager about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Manager in maintaining the pharmacy. Other duties entail supervising 1 Full time Technician.
About the Facility: The Retail Pharmacy is a new buildout and will be located within the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center which is a general hospital, owned and operated by the non-profit Otero County Hospital Association. The hospital serves the Alamogordo, New Mexico area. It is the first military/civilian shared hospital facility in the United States. The pharmacy will be open Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Management of the Retail pharmacy is outsourced to CPS. All employees of the Retail Pharmacy are employees of CPS.
