Director of pharmacy 

SUN Behavioral Kentucky, LLC  Erlanger, KY

Pharmacy Systems Inc., manages the pharmacy services at SUN Behavioral Kentucky, LLC located in Erlanger, KY and will hire a Director of Pharmacy to manage the pharmacy services. 

About the HospitalSUN Behavioral Health is a 197-bed psychiatric hospital in Erlanger, KY, 10 minutes south of Cincinnati, OH. The hospital was developed in partnership with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the leading hospital system in northern Kentucky. The facility provides a full continuum of specialized care, including inpatient and day hospital services, for children, adolescents, adults and seniors suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorders.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and direct the activities of the Department of Pharmacy.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a system of staff development and evaluation to ensure compliance with regulatory issues and to promote optimal patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a system of financial and inventory control according to hospital standards, including preparation, submission and administration of an annual departmental budget.
  • Directs departmental participation in various hospital committees to ensure appropriate representation (including, but not limited to, Infection Control Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Board of pharmacy Readiness, Safety Committee and other hospital committees).


  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the state of KY.
  • Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
  • Deal effectively with change.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.  
  • Needs to be a customer service orientated candidate with strong leadership and business acumen.  
  • Preferred: Experience with HCS computer system and Omnicell ADC .
