As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
About the Facility: Heritage Oaks Hospital is a leader in psychiatric and addiction treatment. Located in Sacramento, the hospital offers 125 inpatient beds in a beautiful, state-of-the art facility. The Pharmacy is open from 6:30am-2:30pm weekdays and 7:00am-11:00am weekends. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS. All Pharmacy staff are employees of CPS.
Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)
CA licensure in good standing
Minimum 1 year experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting that has included unit dosing and using automated dispensing cabinets (Pyxis).
Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns.
Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
