DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY - FULL TIME 
STURGIS HOSPITAL
STURGIS, MI

Hours: This position will work Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM. 

As a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy at Sturgis Hospital, you will manage and direct the activities of the of the Pharmacy. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Maintain a system of staff development and evaluation to ensure compliance with regulatory issues and to promote optimal patient care. Develop and maintain a system of financial and inventory control according to hospital standards, including preparation, submission and administration of an annual departmental budget. Directs departmental participation in various hospital committees to ensure appropriate representation (including, but not limited to, Infection Control Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Safety Committee).

About the Facility:  Sturgis Hospital is a 84-bed licensed, acute care facility. Nearly 40 active Medical Staff members, available within the Sturgis and surrounding communities, represent a wide variety of specialties including Anesthesiology, Family Practice, General Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology, Urology and Vascular Surgery. Additional specialties are offered through the Hospital's Courtesy, Consulting and Affiliate Medical Staff members. These services include Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, and Pulmonary medicine.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the state of Michigan.
  • Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment.
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility.
  • Deal effectively with change.
