Mid-State will hire 6 school and 3 campus ambassadors to represent the district per academic year. In this position, you will be among a group of students who positively represent Mid-State while learning valuable leadership and communication skills. You will serve as a resource for both current and potential students as well as community members through involvement with various departments throughout the year.
This pool will close in May 2018.
Duties & Responsibilities
Attend Ambassador training and meetings.
Assist with recruitment, student life and outreach events.
Provide campus tours to potential students, families and community partners.
Assist with new student orientations.
Present information about Mid-State to various groups.
Serve as a mentor and/or resource to current students.
Other duties as assigned.
Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Be comfortable speaking in front of groups.
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75.
Must be enrolled in a program.
Comfortable working individually or with groups.
Be reliable and punctual.
Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity.
Have a desire to promote Mid-State and the School in which your program resides.
Must embrace Mid-State's "core values" of student centeredness, commitment, accountability, respect, integrity, and exceptional service.
