The Content Strategy Program Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for content strategy, curation, lifecycle management and deliverables that support the buyers’ journey as directed through marketing programs and digital initiatives. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and optimize content initiatives and marketing campaigns to effectively engage audiences and build pipeline. This role reports to the Director of Demand Generation, Corporate and works closely with the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing.

About the Team

The Everbridge Marketing Team oversees the awareness, engagement, and conversion of prospects through the marketing funnel.  These activities include developing programs from the ground up to meet top and bottom of funnel, inbound and outbound, demand generation objectives.

The Content Strategy Manager role includes but is not limited to: 

  • Content Strategy: Lead the development and management of content strategy for marketing programs and corresponding digital initiatives including the creation of targeted and differentiated buyer-centric narratives and content journeys.

  • Content Creation: Working closely with Product and Solution Marketing, write supporting promotional copy (blog posts, abstracts, emails, landing pages, etc.) for anchor content pieces to be leveraged in digital and program strategies

  • Program Management: Manage select and strategic lead generating marketing programs, assist in syndication of content and assets to social channels to drive SEO. Manage 3rd party media vendor relationships.

  • Content Ideation: Contribute to the ideation process to support the demand generation marketing plan by vertical and audience use case/pain points.

  • Content Models: Determine which creation models are most appropriate given the idea, expertise, budget, talent, and resources available. Work with internal business partners and stakeholders to research current content to potentially curate and re-use. 

  • Workflow Management: Monitor content performance and ensure that all content meets SEO guidelines, has keyword focus, cross links, and clear calls to action. 

  • Content Curation & Distribution: Work with Demand Gen and Digital to ensure campaigns are promoted and shared across regions. Create, own, and manage DAM via internal intranet platform. Own content lifecycle to include strategic analysis, content collection, content management, publication and post-publication maintenance, and preservation or re-purposing and a loop back to analysis for the next cycle. 

  • Optimize Content: Ensure concept, A/B, and multivariate testing occurs and is aligned to the role/goal of the content strategy.

Required Expertise

  • 5-8 years of experience in content marketing strategy and lead generation

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications, PR etc. 

  • Capable of self-directing, thrives in a fast paced environment. 

  • Passionate about taking a new-media approach to content and using data to inspire ideas. 

  • An understanding of media planning, distribution, measurement, optimization, and syndication of content. 

  • Evidence of facilitating and initiating creative thinking in the digital space. 

  • Ability and willingness to develop relationships and work with a wide array of partners in content development, production and measurement, video distribution, seeding and social media. 

  • Committed to flawless execution and has a passion and understanding of the value of great content.
