Drug and Alcohol Policy

Brainstorm Creative Resources Drug and Alcohol Policy A drug-free workplace is necessary for many reasons. Some of these reasons include: a safer environment; legal obligations; and avoiding losses in productivity, absenteeism and health care. For these reasons and others, Brainstorm Creative Resources utilizes the following No-Drug policy with regard to all assignments. The sale or distribution of illegal drugs on Brainstorm Creative Resources property, or on Brainstorm Creative Resources’ client’s property, or the use or possession of illegal drugs on Brainstorm Creative Resources property or on Brainstorm Creative Resources’ clients’ property will be grounds for termination and a bar from future employment with Brainstorm Creative Resources. When taking physician prescribed drugs or over-the-counter legal drugs, which may affect performance, you should report such use to your immediate manager for determination of fitness-for-duty while on such medication. The following persons or personnel are subject to undergoing drug urine screening pursuant to the Brainstorm Creative Resources No-Drug policy: • Any employee on assignment for Brainstorm Creative Resources whose performance or behavior indicates that he or she may be unfit for duty and possibly abusing drugs or alcohol will be subject to drug and/or alcohol screening to determine fitness-for-duty. The employee will be immediately suspended without pay pending results of the screening, and barred from Brainstorm Creative Resources. If the screening results come back positive, the individual will be terminated immediately. If screening produces a negative result (showing no measurable substance abuse), the individual will be reinstated to continue his or her employment. • Any employee who is involved in an accident or injury while performing duties on Brainstorm Creative Resources property or Brainstorm Creative Resources business while away from Brainstorm Creative Resources property, including Brainstorm Creative Resources client property or business, will be subject to drug and/or alcohol screening where allowed by state law, to determine fitness-of-duty. The employee will be allowed to continue to work pending the results of the screening tests. If the screening results come back positive, the individual will be terminated immediately. If the screening comes back negative, the individual will continue his or her employment without change. Failure to submit to screening will result in immediate dismissal.
