About You

The HR and Recruiting Manager (HRM) is a critical member of the Dalberg Americas Operations team overseeing Dalberg’s 5 locations in the Americas: Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Mexico City.  Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations of the Americas region, the HRM will be located in Washington DC and works directly with the America’s regional leadership, to generate diverse candidate pools and recruit and retain top talent to meet business needs. The HRM also works closely with global counterparts to ensure a uniform and integrated recruiting and people experience across Dalberg offices worldwide.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of related HR and recruiting experience; experience in a corporate consulting or professional services environment a plus
  • Proven track record with recruiting for diversity, including having established networks and channels from which you will strategically source diverse talent
  • Current knowledge of federal, state and local employment law
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proven discretion when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information/situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Sound commercial and business judgement, and objectivity to make high impact decisions
  • Proficient with various Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and HRIS/applicant tracking systems
  • Effectively uses social media and other recruiting technologies/platforms to reach candidates
  • HR certification a plus
 
What You Will Do and How You Will Grow

Key responsibilities include:

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop regional recruiting strategy to attract all levels of top-tier strategy consulting and operations talent and ensure a workplace that includes a diverse set of capabilities and backgrounds
  • Plan and execute full-lifecycle recruiting, including developing job descriptions, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluation, checking references, extending offers, and onboarding
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Oversee and implement all regional campus recruiting in conjunction with global initiatives
  • Participate in various candidate outreach activities such as online recruiting events and external networking events
  • Assist with training and development of internal staff regarding recruitment process, interviewing and best practices
  • Maintain accurate information in recruiting systems

HR Administration

  • Complete oversight and administration of employee benefits package (insurances, 401k, time off, etc), HRIS (Zenefits), visas and work authorizations, EEOC reporting
  • Support finance team in preparing monthly payroll
  • Oversee and conduct all onboarding and offboarding steps and trainings
  • Draft, update and enforce regional people policies
  • Understand federal, state and city employment and HR laws and best practices, and update or implement changes as needed
  • Draft and file key employee documents (offer letters, term sheets, verification of employment, etc)
  • Support work to remove bias from current HR policies and processes
