The successful candidate will assist the Regional Performance Manager (RPM) with all aspects of remarketing, including, sales, marketing, governance of the Approved CPO program, oversight and input into fixed and variable marketing programs.  This position requires a mix of strong analytics and communications skills, requiring a person who is able to handle multiple projects at once, is detailed-oriented, and has strong time-management skills. This individual will be part of a team of three Approved Certifed Pre-Owned (ACPO) Specialists who will act as the go-to team for ACPO Go-to-Market support; a core aspect of the team’s focus will be to act as ACPO Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and spend time with key retailers to identify obstacles and issues that must be overcome to improve Retailer performance.

The primary functions of this role are:

  • Effectively implement JLR Remarketing business strategies, including:

    • Ensure ACPO standards and processes are maintained

    • Focus on positive impacts to residual values

    • Support the achievement of retail pre-owned and ACPO sales objectives,

    • Increase ACPO showroom traffic,

    • Maximize retailer engagement and profitability,

    • Support the Director, Remarketing as needed in performance of the ACPO Program

  • Approved CPO Program Management and retailer performance. The Approved CPO Specialist will be working alongside the National Remarketing Director, Asset Remarketing Manager, and Regional Performance Managers in ensuring retailers achieve their ACPO sales objectives. This includes periodic visits with key Retailer staff, review of processes and policies, system refresher/training, and plans to get key stores back on track to achieve acquisition and retail goals.

  • Budget, forecast and analysis – Assist and develop full year variable marketing operational budget for both brands, work with finance department to ensure monthly estimated variable marketing expenses are reconciled with actual expenditures to ensure common agreement of budget utilization and variable marketing opportunities, prepare and develop various reports for inter-departmental use. Review vendor invoices and open PO’s for new vendors. Work on VME budgets on a quarterly basis in order to ensure spend is in line with forecast.

  • Prepare and develop pre-owned variable marketing programs including retailer and vehicle incentives - Develop and recommend quarterly pre-owned variable marketing APR, contests and incentives through Management and Executive review and approval process, serve as key contact for all pre-owned variable marketing incentive programs to field staff and Chase. Manage incentives within allotted pre-owned variable marketing budget. 

  • Manage all CPO sales and incentives reporting for JLR NA. Reports produced using the various systems like BBSS, SAP and Business Objects.

  • Develop Remarketing Department Communications. Communicate effectively with JLR Finance and Accounting to make sure proper and timely payments are administered to vendors. 

  • Assist marketing with all CPO related activities ranging from updating CPO rates and offers on the USA website to the design and implementation of the new inventory search site

  • Manage the maintenance and updating of the remarketing content for retailers online. All retailer communications, warranty related documents and links to important third party sites are housed online for the convenience of the retailers.  Work with third party vendors like Carfax, Experian AutoCheck, Autodata, and Cars.com.

  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Location: Mahwah, NJ

Travel:  Approximately 30%

 

Key Criteria for the Role

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years automotive experience

  • 5+ years distribution & incentives experience

  • Advanced MS Office Skills (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint)

  • 5+ years project management experience

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Strong analytical skills
