Incentives Programs & Budget Planner

This position is the lead on Incentive program development, Variable Marketing Expense (VME) budget management, and approvals.  The focus is on developing strategic and tactical incentives which will enable JLR to attain its sales objectives in the most cost efficient way possible.  Using competitive research, 3rd party data, as well as data from prior incentive programs, drive JLR’s incentive program strategy to success.  The role works closely with Finance on costing and budget management.  This role is also the lead on the QMSP (Quarterly Marketing & Sales Planning) inputs to Global for approvals and then communications of programs to Retailers in clear and concise manner.  They should be in direct contact with the field (Regional Performance Managers and Regional Vice Presidents) as well as some retailers to gain feedback on success or opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Manage Incentive Programs to attain volume objectives within financial budgets

  • Lead program development efforts in sales operations – work with Finance for budget compliance

  • Drive local QMSP process ultimately leading to Global approval

  • Manage internal and external communication of programs

  • Ensure programs are implemented properly, incentives paid and budgets met

  • Ensure feedback loop from Retailers and Field is considered in program development

Key Criteria

  • Bachelors in Finance, Business Administration or Marketing or Equivalent Work Experience

  • 5+ years in the automotive or related field

  • Advanced MS Office, Strong Excel/Powerpoint

  • Strong written and verbal communications

  • Knowledge of automotive programs and incentives

  • Knowledge of market evaluation tools:Autodata, JD Power PIN, Polk HIS – a plus
