The Revenue Analyst role is responsible for providing analysis, forecasting and reporting for all of the revenue of the JLR National Sales Company. They will partner with Product Planning to assess the impact of pricing and vehicle options in product pricing papers as well as working closely with the sales incentives team and corporate profit consolidation.

This is a role which combines accounting know-how with an analytical outlook to influence improved product revenue and margins in the business.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for budget, forecast and month end close to revenue items (base and options pricing, dealer margins, floorplan, fleet sales, company cars sales, etc), including variance explanations to budget/latest forecast

  • Analyze vehicle orders to provide average option revenue and analyze product mix. Create and use reports using analytics tools including Tableau and RapidMiner

  • Provide management reporting explanations for budget versus actual results and changes in assumptions

  • Partner with Profit Consolidations to assess revenue risk and/or opportunities by model line

  • Analyse pipeline option take rates to provide average revenue & option information

  • Review monthly invoices from the finance company for accuracy on lease, retail and used cars sales subvention

  • Partner with Fleet department to calculate optimal rental deals to maximize profit, monitor fleet transaction for payment accuracy

  • Prepare monthly Variable Marketing Account Reconciliations (estimate liability on discount incentive programs to customers such as conquest cash, loyalty cash)

  • Review monthly Variable Marketing subvention bills for accuracy on lease, APR and Used vehicles.

  • Prepare reserve analysis as part of reserve adequacy review for VME

  • Partner with Business Intelligence team to analyze, design and establish robust metrics to track financial and operational performance

  • Responsible for performing account reconciliations and booking required journal entries

    Criteria:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline;

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting;

  • Experience with SAP a must;

  • Previous automotive experience is desired;

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are required (advance Excel capabilities are essential)

  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment with a broad network of people, including Product Teams, Distribution, finance and accounting

  • Ability to interpret and analyse information to ensure data and reporting accuracy.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
