Position Overview

As Business Development Representative you will have a unique opportunity to be part of scaling a successful startup into a significant business.  Reporting to the title of Sales & Marketing Operations Manager, the Business Development Representative will be Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential enterprise customers.

The successful candidate will apply their previous experience developing leads, communications skills to develop relationships and work with a great team, to build an important and exciting business.  Scout has a great story and we are looking for an awesome communicator to tell the story in order to drive sales, customer engagement and company value.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Make 60-80 contacts a day with people using Phone, Email, and Social Media

  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails

  • Present our company to potential clients

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Sales

  • Finding and following new sales leads from events and trade shows

  • Cultivating positive interactions and relationships with sales representatives, team leaders and managers, and executives to evaluate sales strategy and results

  • Managing activity in Salesforce

  • Partner with Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns

  • Partner with Sales to help build pipeline and develop your skills

Background/Experience/Education (Minimum)

  • 2-3 years cold calling experience

  • CRM experience

  • Experience with B2B sales

  • Experience selling software or services

  • Experience selling to Enterprise Businesses

  • 4 year degree

 

Skills and Characteristics (Preferred)

  • Familiar with corporate staffing business and hiring roles or called into this space

  • Knowledge of HR systems and technologies

  • Ability to quickly learn complex subjects and communicate them in a simple manner

  • Tech savvy and adept in using Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications

  • Working knowledge of LinkedIn for prospecting and lead generation

Success Metrics

  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly goals for qualified leads

  • Set solid meetings with well qualified prospects

  • Develop a good working relationship with assigned sales team members
