Type: Full-Time

Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30am-5pm; Tues, Thurs 10:30am-7pm; Saturday hours as needed 9am-1pm

The Assistant Director of Educational Funding (ADEF) is responsible for overseeing all areas of operations of the financial aid office at the campus level. This includes supervising staff that provide direct service to students and their families in regard to the financial aid process and advise them in all phases of the aid application and delivery system.

The Assistant Director of Educational Funding will…

  • Manage the operations of the Financial Aid office and staff at the campus
  • Implement policies and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and corporate office
  • Oversee that office operations are running efficiently and effectively
  • Maintaining all student data and reporting
  • Advise and assist staff and students/parents in all aspects of the financial aid process
  • Oversee cash flow, projected incoming, 2nd year packaging and that all exits are completed timely
  • Approving of all files completed by staff for completeness and accuracy
  • Processing of State Grant Programs in accordance with state guidelines and regulations
  • Processing and certifying of Veteran benefits

Position Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • 3-5 years knowledge of federal and state regulations with ability to interpret regulations
  • Must possess excellent math and computer proficiency skills
  • Must be able to prioritize work flow, manage multiple tasks and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • CampusVue and/or other higher education database management systems experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to follow processes, work effectively on a team and provide exceptional customer service to a diverse student population
  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities are required to train and develop team members
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
